Crawfordsville Ind -The body of Roger Elledge, 21, Crawfordsville, was found Sunday in Sugar Creek north of here. Police said Elledge drowned while swimming in the creek with two companions Friday night.

Crawfordsville, Ind – Volunteers and law enforcement officers searched Saturday for Roger Elledge, 21, Crawfordsville who was missing and feared drowned in Sugar Creek north of Crawfordsville. Police said Elledge disappeared late Friday night while swimming in the creek with two companions.

Word has been received here of the death of Roger D. Elledge, 21, Crawfordsville, who drowned Friday in Crawfordsville. He had recently completed his junior year of college at ISU. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Elledge, Crawfordsville; two sisters, Nancy Ann Dean, Crawfordsville; Kay Anna, at home; one brother, Pat at home; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Gosnell, Paris, Ill. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hunt Funeral Home, Crawfordsville with Rev. Don Sharpe officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday.


Roger was a classmate of Jim's - always enjoyed him - Rest In Peace buddy!
